Cooking pasta is simple! Here's a basic guide to make perfect pasta every time:

Ingredients:
Pasta (any kind – spaghetti, penne, fusilli, etc.)

Water

Salt

Optional: Olive oil or butter

Instructions:
Boil water

Fill a large pot with water (about 4–6 cups per 100g of pasta).

Bring to a rolling boil.

Add salt

Add about 1 tablespoon of salt per 4–5 cups of water.

This adds flavor to the pasta.

Add pasta

Drop the pasta into the boiling water.

Stir immediately to prevent sticking.

Cook until al dente

Check the package for timing (usually 8–12 minutes).

Stir occasionally.

Taste a piece — it should be tender but still have a slight bite ("al dente").

Drain

Use a colander to drain the pasta.

(Optional) Reserve some pasta water for sauces.

(Optional) Add oil or sauce

You can toss with olive oil, butter, or your favorite sauce.

Tips:
Don’t add oil to boiling water – it doesn’t help with sticking and can prevent sauce from sticking later.

Don’t rinse pasta unless making cold pasta salad.
