your Facebook account has been hacked, it's crucial to act quickly to regain control and protect your information. Here are the steps to report a hacked Facebook account and secure it:
Step 1: Go to the Facebook Help Center

Visit Facebook’s Help Center: Go to the Facebook Help Center via this link: Facebook Help Center - Hacked Account.
Select "My Account Is Compromised": If you’re unable to log into your account, select the option "My Account Is Compromised" or directly go to facebook.com/hacked.

Step 2: Secure Your Account

Click "Get Started": Follow the prompts on the page to verify your identity.
Enter Your Email or Phone Number: You’ll be asked to enter the email address or phone number associated with your account to receive a code.
Verify Your Identity: Once you receive the code, enter it to confirm your identity and begin the recovery process.

Step 3: Change Your Password

If you can still log into your account, immediately change your password:

Go to Settings: On your Facebook account, click the downward arrow (or your profile icon) in the top right corner, then select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
Change Password: In the left column, click on Security and Login, then select Change Password.
Create a Strong New Password: Choose a unique password that combines numbers, letters, and symbols.

Step 4: Review Recent Activity

Check Account Activity: Under Security and Login, click Where You're Logged In. Review all devices where your account is logged in. If you see any unfamiliar devices or locations, log them out.
Remove Suspicious Devices: If you find anything suspicious, log out of those sessions.

Step 5: Activate Two-Factor Authentication (Optional but Recommended)

Go to Security Settings: In Security and Login, turn on Two-Factor Authentication to add an extra layer of security.
Follow Setup: Choose your preferred method of receiving the code (via text or an authentication app).

Step 6: Report the Hacked Account

If you’re unable to regain access or need further assistance, you can report the issue directly to Facebook:

Go to the Hacked Account Page: Visit facebook.com/hacked.
Follow the Prompts: Facebook will guide you through the recovery process, which might involve providing identity verification documents.

Step 7: Secure Your Email Account

Since the hacker may have gained access to your email as well, be sure to change your email password and enable two-factor authentication for your email account.
Step 8: Review Your Profile and Security Settings

Once you regain access, review the following:

Check your profile: Make sure no unauthorized changes were made (e.g., name, email, password, profile picture).
Check apps connected to your account: Go to Settings > Apps and Websites to review and remove any suspicious third-party apps connected to your Facebook account.
